Chad McCullough Quintet
Tula’s, 8:30, $12 Reservations: 206-443-4221

Chad McCullough
An integral part of the Seattle music scene, trumpeter Chad McCullough has finally begun to receive the wider exposure he deserves with the release of his debut Origin album, Dark Wood, Dark Water. The album featured Mark Taylor (alto/soprano saxophones), Geof Bradfield (tenor/soprano saxophones), Bill Anschell (piano), Jeff Johnson (bass), and John Bishop (drums).  This performance, however, is to feature Slovakian pianist Michal Vanoucek, winner of the prestigious Deloitte Jazz Award in the Netherlands.  McCullough is a superb soloist, bandleader, and as we have more recently learned, composer.  He also now works closely with John Bishop and Matt Jorgensen behind the scenes for Origin Records and the Ballard Jazz Festival.
