Hans Teuber Trio
$12 general

Hans TeuberA fluent multi-hornman and composer on the Northwest and national jazz scenes, alto and tenor saxophonist, flautist, and clarinetist Hans Teuber leads one of the most evocative small groups in Seattle jazz. He presents a progressive style that uses the vocabulary of free jazz for subtle, sensitive explorations and skillful improvisations. Teuber has performed with Julian Priester, Bill Frisell, and Jovino Santos Neto, and has recorded with Kendra Shank, Frank Kimbraugh, Joe Locke, and Billy Mintz. He has also toured and recorded with singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco.

Known for his soft use of brushes and crisp, thoughtful playing, drummer Byron Vannoy teaches at North Seattle Community College and the Seattle Drum School. He has performed and recorded with Herbie Hancock, Randy Brecker, Tom Scott, and Ernestine Anderson, among other internationally-known artists.

A graduate of Cornish Institute of the Arts, bassist Geoff Harper performs regularly with some of Seattle's most accomplished jazz ensembles, including Bebop & Destruction and the award-winning Marriott Jazz Quintet. His robust, authoritative tone and mastery of jazz idioms make him one of the most versatile and in-demand bassists on the Northwest jazz scene.
