This event is the first evening in Darius Jones’ Earshot Jazz Festival residency. At the Chapel he will reprise his 2018 Earshot solo performance, a phenomenal display of power and imagination. In his youth a devotee of Johnny Hodges, Jones devoured the fearless innovation of Albert Ayler and now flies in his own soulful realm, professing that “music has the healing force or power.” Not to miss!
