DJ J-Justice (City Soul/KBCS 91.3fm), Afrocop; visuals: blazinspace

Inspired by beats out of London and cities around the world, Seattle’s DJ J-Justice (City Soul / KBCS 91.3fm) has dedicated more than 15 years to music with soul—from house to boogie, disco to jazz, techno to hiphop. Best known as a founding member of acclaimed DJ crew SunTzu Sound, DJ J-Justice is driven by a faithful following in Seattle and beyond. His tireless efforts have made him an indispensable participant in Seattle nightlife. Along with fellow SunTzu Sound founder, Atlee Treasure,  DJ J-Justice regularly books and promotes top-shelf international talent and has served as weekly host of Friday night’s City Soul radio show on KBCS 91.3fm since 2004.

Afrocop was formed as a improvisational trio in the early 2000’s when Noel Brass Jr. (keyboardist, composer) moved from the Chicago area. Over the years he’s crafted and curated music to fit the needs of an ever changing mood scape. Fellow scene veterans Carlos Tullos mans the Bass and Barri-tone Guitar & drummer/percussionist Andy Sells lead the trio into exploratory ambient realms that veer into directions of intuition and sublime dreamy movements and everywhere in between. Afrocop plays regularly at Vito’s & across town at the Parliament tavern. Visual spectrum from blazinspace has been a Afrocop pairing in the last few years that takes the live experience to another stratosphere.
