Jazz LIVE at Marine View featuring The George Colligan Trio
Pianist George Colligan (www.georgecolligan.com) made a name for himself in New York before relocating to Portland over a decade ago. Besides leading his own ensembles over the years, he remains highly in demand as a sideman, having worked with the likes of Jack DeJohnette, John Scofield, Cassandra Wilson, Ravi Coltrane and many others, both on the bandstand and in recording sessions (appearing on over 150 CDs). He has released 36 recordings, full of his intelligent writing and impressive technique. Appearing with Colligan at Jazz LIVE at Marine View will be Eric Gruber on bass and Dae Bryant on drums. Don’t miss an outstanding performance by one of the most original and compelling artists of his generation.
