During Covid, six far flung Seattleites—Ben Feldman (bass), Santosh Sharma (sax), Xavier Lecouturier (drums), Dylan Hayes (piano), Noah Halpern (trumpet), and Martin Budde (guitar)— twice gathered in an Alaskan airplane hangar to create elevating, spirited, intelligent albums, the most recent their 2021 release, Earthshine. Tonight, on the tail of a tour, their performance includes an Earshot-commissioned work by Xavier Lecouturier.
