Milo Petersen Trio

The Cellar Cat Jazz Club and Wine Bar in Kingston presents The Milo Petersen Trio, featuring Milo Petersen on guitar, Michaele Miller on vocals, and Geoff Harper on acoustic bass.  The trio will perform an in intimate setting Songs from The Great American Songbook and Bossa Nova.

Milo Petersen has been active in the Pacific Northwest jazz community since the late ‘70’s. Milo spent 4 years in New York City (1987-1991) leading trios and quartets and then returned to Seattle.  He has performed with some of the world’s finest including: Jay Thomas, Gary Steele, Jay Clayton, Ron Eschete, Julian Priester, Joe Sample, Ernestine Anderson, Herb Ellis, Mundell Lowe, Nancy King, Cedar Walton (with the Composer’s and Improviser’s Orchestra), Mose Allison, Larry Coryell, Chip Jackson, Eliot Zigmund, Billy Hart, Carmen Bradford, Joshua Redman, Christian McBride, Ignacio Berroa, and Phil Markowitz.  Milo also recorded 2 CDs with master drummer Elvin Jones (Jones for Elvin vols.1 & 2 – Hip City Music). He has appeared on The Bob Hope Show, The Eartha Kitt show, the Broadway shows Ain’t Misbehavin’, Five Guy’s Named Moe, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, and performed with pop vocal groups The Coasters, The Drifters and The 5th Dimension. In 2022 Milo was inducted into The EARSHOT JAZZ Hall Of Fame.

Visual artist and vocalist Michaele Miller is a new-comer to the local Jazz scene and has performed at The Pink Door, The Watershed Pub, Ott and Hunter Winery, Otter on The Rocks, and the Arctic Club Hotel. With a crystal clear, warm sound, Michaele specializes in Songs from The Great American Songbook and Bossa Nova.

Geoff Harper, a 2021 inductee to the EARSHOT JAZZ Hall of Fame, is a stalwart of the Seattle Jazz community. Geoff can be heard all over Seattle with various groups as well as on recordings by Frieze of Life, Harrybu McGage, Rick Wright’s Fundamenal Forces, The Larry Eanet Trio, The Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble, Bebop and Destruction, Seventh Quadrant, and the great Julian Priester.

The Cellar Cat is a Wine bar, Jazz club, Art gallery, Piano bar, located in Kingston, WA, directly across from the ferry.  The Cellar Cat is also a carefully curated wine & gift shop featuring small production wines from Washington, the Pacific Northwest, and around the globe.
