Phil Parisot Quartet
June 12 @ 7:00 pm
Parisot says he has “the classic Seattle jazz pedigree.” He was one of the first Garfield HS Jazz Band sensations, he lived in NYC and played with Roy Hargrove, Steve Coleman, David Gilmore, Ravi Coltrane and Antonio Hart, and when he returned to Seattle, he became a favorite sideman for straight ahead and for modernist jazz musicians. Now he focuses mostly on his own compositions and has released two albums since 2016, Lingo and Creekside. Paul Rauch, All About Jazz says, “Parisot never seems to run out of inspired thought as a composer, or original rhythmic conception as a drummer.”
