Earshot and descendants of pianist/clarinetist Oscar Holden, bandmate of Jelly Roll Morton and “Patriarch of Seattle Jazz,” honor the musical heritage of Jackson Street and the Central District. His son, Dave Holden senior, another icon of Seattle jazz and blues, hopes to take the stage as will his daughter, soulful vocalist Darelle Holden. She radiates soul after stints backing Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and for 19 years Tom Jones. Bassist Dave Holden Jr’s Grownfoux also appears, along with other family members.
