About the Golden Ear Awards

Earshot Jazz initiated the Golden Ear Awards in 1990 to recognize the accomplishments of Seattle jazz artists over the previous year, and to induct significant members of the jazz community into the local Jazz Hall of Fame. Over the years, the award categories have shifted slightly, but the essence of the process has remained the same.

  • Nominations accepted year round via email
  • The official ballot comes out every February
  • Ceremony and concert in March

The Golden Ear Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of Seattle jazz artists over the previous year.

Please send your nominations for exceptional work in 2025 by January 15, 2026.

The official ballot will be available in February.
