The Goodbye Look Presents:
Our November show features two of LA’s leading voices on their respective instruments, Julien Knowles and Devin Daniels, in Quartet with Jermaine Paul (bass) and Christian Euman (drums). Since linking up at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, Daniels and Knowles have exploded onto the international jazz scene, performing with a laundry list of legendary artists. Daniels and Knowles have toured alongside Gerald Clayton, Terence Blanchard, Lionel Loueke, Herbie Hancock, Chris Potter, Louis Cole, and many others.
Their recordings have received rave reviews in every jazz publication of note, with Daniels’ recent album, “LesGo!” receiving a Downbeat Magazine Editor’s Choice award: “Daniels simply explodes out of the gate with a flurry of creative phrases before the theme…Daniels and his band operate at the forefront of the US acoustic jazz tradition.”
As usual, seeing players of this caliber in an intimate setting will provide an unforgettable evening of music, and we’re eager to see you all there giving the band the widely discussed energy of the “Seattle Hang.”
