Building an Ecosystem for Jazz in the Region

Formed in 1984, Earshot Jazz provides support for the community of jazz artists, audiences, presenters, students, and educators in the region. We are dedicated to celebrating jazz as a cultural treasure of Black America through programs that reflect the creative continuum of Black American music.

Mission, Vision, Values

This is the guiding force behind our work and provides strategic direction for all current and future endeavors.

History

From it’s inception, at Paul and Judy de Barros’ kitchen table, to the first magazine, concert, festival, and more. The history of Earshot Jazz now spans five decades.

Staff & Board

We could not do this without the small but dedicated staff and board. We’ve been blessed to work with people who care so much about the art form and the artists.
