Brothers Zohar (keyboards) and Adam (drums) Cabo, championed by bass legend Christian McBride, forge their meld of progressive jazz, Latin rhythms, hip-hop, and more, perfected during years of family-led performances. Opening is the Los Angeles-based ensemble OHMA.
Zohar & Adam are rising young stars who bring a lifetime of musical experiences and influences to bear on their eclectic, genre-bending duo performances. Born to musician parents Richard Cabo (former Latin big band leader) and Dassi Rosenkrantz (Israeli bassist, record producer, and educator) the two brothers, together with their sister Noga were veteran performers before they reached their teens, even recording an album as a family band at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis.
Their music is a collage of their extensive and diverse experience and influences, amalgamating to express new takes on genres such as progressive jazz, Latin rhythms, hip hop, and world music sensibilities, bringing to mind such legends as Chick Corea and Weather Report, and performed with the kind of telepathic synchronicity that only a lifetime of playing together can bring. Their debut project Osmosis is slated for release this year.
OHMA, two dear friends Mia Garcia and Hailey Niswanger touch timelessness through their immersive sonic worlds. With playful wonder at the core, this magical duo is inspired by the symphony of nature, as they integrate elements of ambient, jazz, experimental, and folk music. In 2022, OHMA released their acclaimed debut album, Between All Things, and toured the US supporting FKJ. The duo has also performed in London, Amsterdam, Mexico City, and toured in Japan performing on Mt. Fuji. Their second offering On Loving Earth (2024), shares intimate moments with nature, as the sounds were captured acoustically in the mountains of Altadena. Mia and Hailey will be joined by drummer Cory Limuaco.
Having extensive accolades as individual artists, both Hailey and Mia have earned their praises as producers, composers, and performers. With woodwinds, guitar, bass, keys, percussion and vocals, OHMA harmonizes their gifts to produce a distinctive sound that transcends listeners worldwide.
