Seattle Office of Arts & Culture Youth Arts Projects

Youth Arts is an annual funding program for arts education, beyond the regular school day, for Seattle middle and high school youth. Funds and technical assistance from this program help experienced teaching artists lead training programs and projects in all arts disciplines – from visual arts and theater to dance and film. Youth Arts prioritizes youth or communities with limited or no access to the arts. Funding awards range up to $10,000. Learn more at www.seattle.gov/arts.

Artist Trust Fellowships

Fellowships provide $7,500 to practicing professional artists of exceptional talent and ability. The Fellowship is a merit-based award. Recipients present a Meet the Artist event to a community in Washington State that has little or no access to art or the artist’s work.

In addition to 14 Fellowship recipients, two artists will receive a one-month residency at The Millay Colony of the Arts in upstate New York and a $1,000 stipend. More at artisttrust.org. Submission deadline is January 17.
