In this letter from the director, John Gilbreath looks forward to the over 320 amazing artists and 60 events for the 25th anniversary festival. Thanks goes out to all participating venues, collaborators, major funders, and radio stations.
Executive Director, John Gilbreath, celebrates Earshot Jazz turning 30 years old soon as well as the upcoming 25th anniversary of the festival. He highlights the hard and diligent work of this small “spunky” organization, and expresses his gratitude for the non-profit’s many relationships, including those with the Seattle Art Museum, Cornish College of the Arts, and Tula’s Jazz Club.
Earshot Jazz honors jazz as a vital Black American art form through live performance presentations, artist advocacy, and community engagement.
