The Goodbye Look Presents
Former Seattle music scene fixture and current NYC pedal steel guitar hero Luke Bergman will be performing for our December show, continuing our series of Ted Poor collaborations that we’ve been fortunate enough to present. Long time Seattle music scene heads will know Luke from his mind blowing and borderline indescribable band, Heatwarmer, as well as for his frequent collaborations with another Seattle legend, Bill Frisell. Luke’s musical output is reflective of his deep and uncynical love for seemingly every type of music on earth. He can bring a tear to your eye with an earnest and heartfelt cover of a Puddle Of Mudd tune, before whipping out the most creative iteration of an American songbook standard you’ve ever heard. We’ve been fans of Luke for over a decade and a half, and we’re thrilled to be able to present him on his home turf.
The band will feature Luke Bergman on pedal steel, Ted Poor on drums, and Cuong Vu on trumpet, and will be another BYOB gig nestled in the resonant and cozy walls of the Recreational Psychoacoustics Lab. This gig will fill you up with warmth and positivity headed right into the Holiday season, so come out and revel with us.
