The Eastside Jazz Club is hosting a performance from Eugenie Jones and a screening of ‘Lady Be Good: Instrumental Women in Jazz’ by Kay D. Ray.
The film tells the story of all-women jazz big bands from the 1920s through 1970s and recently got funding for final edits and clearances for production. Eugenie Jones is business owner, consultant, marketing specialist, and vocalist that only started to take up singing 5 years ago. She balances her passion with her fulltime schedule and made her professional debut 2 years ago.
