BrandonLee Cierley is an up-and-coming saxophonist born in Tacoma, WA, and now based in Portland, OR. He effortlessly blends sounds that have shaped his musical voice, drawing on influences from jazz, hip-hop, lo-fi, and groove. During his time in Washington, BrandonLee graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science & Music.
As he rose in the music scene, BrandonLee sought out continuous instruction to master his saxophone craft, studying under instructors including Tracy Knoop, Braxton Cook, Steve Tresler, and Todd Delguidice.
As both a bandleader and solo artist, BrandonLee has showcased his talents alongside some of the most exciting producers and artists in the global music scene, including Jam of the Week founder and Portland-based trumpeter Farnell Newton, producer/instrumentalist POSY, EyeLoveBrandon, Jonny Tobin, Portland multi-instrumentalist Machado Mijiga, and Hunter Love, to name a few. In 2018, he branched out beyond his staple genre as a guest artist with Two Friends, the LA-based EDM duo, performing at sold-out music festivals Lucky and Paradiso. He has also shared the stage with world-renowned saxophonist Mike Phillips—known for performing with legends such as Michael Jackson, Prince, and Stevie Wonder—at the 2023 PDX Jazz Festival.
