Jazz Underground will play a concert of contemporary big band jazz at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 11, 2025 beginning at 7 p.m. Founded in 2004, Jazz Underground is a Seattle-based ensemble whose repertoire includes music from the libraries of Count Basie, Buddy Rich and Stan Kenton, as well as music by Jaco Pastorius, Radiohead, Jaco Pastorius, Tom Molter and Patty Darling. In addition, the group performs music by Pacific Northwest composers and arrangers including original works by members of the band.
