The Seattle Composers Alliance is excited to announce the next Call for Scores for our next Live Sessions concert occurring on International Women’s Day, Friday, March 8th, 2024 at The Royal Room! SCA Live Sessions is an ongoing concert series featuring the works of our members, played by rotating lineups of world-class musicians. The concerts are hosted in our favorite Seattle venues and enjoyed by all. We welcome all music creators in the Greater Puget Sound area to join our community and submit a score for consideration!
As part of our celebration of International Women’s Day, we are honored to host the Kate Olson Sextet as the ensemble who will bring our members’ music to life. This all-star cast of players has deep roots in Seattle’s jazz, funk, and fusion scene, meaning in addition to traditional reading, they are also improvisers! In addition, **the concert program will be designed specifically to showcase the works of women, women-identifying, and other underrepresented gender identities. We kindly ask that only those identifying as part of these groups submit a score for this concert.**
