The Gratitude Trio, comprised of pianist Dawn Clement, bassist Chuck Deardorf, and drummer Matt Wilson formed in the summer of 2017 and were featured on the Earshot Jazz Festival concert series in Bainbridge Island last Fall. In this special concert, they will be presenting music from Clement’s latest release Tandem, Wilson’s Honey and Salt, and Deardorf’s upcoming CD release. You can hear them live on KNKX on Tuesday, July 16th in support of their Chapel performance.

Scrape is an original music string orchestra with harp and guitar. The seventeen piece orchestra is made up of top professional PNW players. The group performs the music of Jim Knapp and Toni McGowan and is led by concertmaster/violinist. Heather Bentley. Brianna Atwell serves as the orchestra's coordinator. Guitarist Gregg Belisle-Chi will be the guest soloist for the evening.Scrape features improvised solos by guitarist Brian Monroney, bassist Chris Symer, and violinists Julian Smedley and Heather Bentley.

Presented by Island Consort and Wayward Music Series, From North India to the Northwest celebrates the rich musical connections between artists from diverse musical backgrounds. I have really enjoyed some special collaborations with members of the Seattle Phonographers Uniontogether with live instrumental improvisers, over the past four years. We’ve done three concerts with different instrumental combinations, and this will be our fourth, this time returning to our original setting of field recordings, mixed brass, and percussion.
