The Cascade Swing Orchestra presents Fascinating Rhythm, a Taste of the Swing Era.
Hear Seattle’s historically-informed swing orchestra perform the music of such Swing-era luminaries as Duke Ellington, Jimmie Lunceford, and Fletcher Henderson. The night’s selection will include both old favorites and pieces not heard live since the swing era, as well as original compositions and arrangements. The syncopating stylings of the orchestra will also accompany appearances by special guests from around the sound to make the night extra memorable.
Founded in 2022 by bandleader Andrew Fox, the Cascade Swing Orchestra strives to perform the music of the swing era in a historically informed manner. It features local Seattle talent, many playing on period instruments.
